Diversity and Inclusion

Labor inclusion allows people in vulnerable situations, regardless of ethnic origin, gender, illness, sexual orientation, or other circumstances, to have access to decent and dignified employment.

Diversity and inclusion refer to the set of strategies, policies, and missions adopted by a company to create and foster an inclusive workplace that attracts a talent pool from diverse cultural backgrounds.
In addition to being a business advantage, companies with D&I policies and practices are more creative and support diverse voices, thus attracting the best talent in any industry.

Although interrelated, diversity and inclusion are two different terms that must be understood separately.

There are different types of diversity in the workplace. While some are visible to the world, others are much more internal. Some can be controlled and changed, while others remain constant.

These are the different types of diversity you'll find in any workplace:

Internal, External, Organizational, Worldview.

Internal diversity refers to the various factors inherent to a person from birth or belonging.

In most cases, a person has no control over changing these diversities.

These include factors such as race, age, ethnicity, national origin, and cultural diversity.

External diversity refers to characteristics associated with a person that are not inherently inherent to them.

In other words, these characteristics can be changed or modified by a person.

External diversity includes education, skills and interests, religion, geographic location, relationship status, socioeconomic status, experiences, and citizenship.

Organizational Diversity:

Organizational diversity refers to the various factors of diversity that appear in any organization or workplace. The different types of organizational diversity in the workplace include work location, job function, department, management status, and seniority level.

Worldview:

Worldview diversity refers precisely to the differences and diversity in people's perspectives on the world. Our unique experiences, knowledge of history, beliefs, and political philosophies, among other factors, can shape our worldview.

Worldview diversity includes: political beliefs, knowledge of history, and cultural experiences.

Workplace Inclusion:

Inclusion as "the achievement of a work environment in which all individuals are treated fairly and respectfully, have equal access to opportunities and resources, and can fully contribute to the success of the organization."

Inclusion in the workplace involves ensuring that every employee feels included and an integral part of the team. An inclusive workforce will feel valued, seen, heard, and respected.

Consequently, increased innovation, greater cooperation, and higher employee engagement will be observed.

At Avanza, Hotel Management, we take the diversification and inclusion of all possible ethnic groups, as well as women, people with disabilities, and others, very seriously in order to create diverse teams.
